2014/15 submissions will be open August 1st – October 15th, 2014.  Regular submission period will be August 1st – October 1st, the extended submission period will be October 2nd – October 15th with a higher entry fee. 

We are adding a much requested CCD payment option, and it is taking a bit longer than expected.  Please check back here on Monday August 4th and everything should be up and running.

Coldsmoke Winter Film is the definitive celebration of winter film and the culture surrounding it. Any winter genre is welcome (ie: snowmobiling, kite skiing, ice climbing, expeditioning, alpine climbing, skiing, snowboarding, travel, winter community and lifestyle, etc.) Both amateur and professionally produced films are welcome – if its on snow or ice anything goes. Every year new and different award categories are recognized. Even if this isn’t  your first time submitting to  Coldsmoke Winter Film, please read the film submission FAQ page for more detailed info about the Coldsmoke Winter Film before submitting.  The submission process has changed from years past. Film entries may be of any length, and any language (with English subtitles).

There are two basic options to choose from when submitting your film.  To be included in all thee arms of the festival; People’s Choice Online Contest the Winter Film Tour, and the Coldsmoke Awards, or opt out of People’s Choice Online and be included only in the Tour and Awards. Explanations and details of all three festival arms are included in the submission form.
