This past week was really rad as far as exhibits go in LA. Arto Saari had a photo exhibition on Thursday – which I will be sharing some photos of soon – and the man known as Neck Face had another killer showcasing over at New Image Art on Saturday. It was a really sick show as one would expect when it comes to the artist. There was some wall murals and framed works, but what really stood out to me was The Night Stalker shrine in the back corner of the gallery. As a boy growing up in Southern California during the 80s, Richard Ramirez was the real deal boogey man. I was so terrified of him – straight up. Seeing Neck Face’s installation dedicated to him brought back all sorts of crazy memories. Anyway, the show was on point and as always, a great time. If you missed it, be sure to check the gallery for a visual recap.
